TIME OUT #75 - CASE-ing Ksenija

Our new challenge this fortnight at Time Out is all bout CASE-ing this very pretty card from Ksenija from Sweet Kobylkin - a wonderful designer with whom I am sure you are already familiar.

We have a great guest designer with us this week as well - M@rjan is joining us to inspire you with her gorgeous creativity - so make sure you check out her CASE in this challenge as well as her other wonderful designs.

Here is my card:

This is one of the card designs that I mass produced for the holidays - the greeting was printed with my laser printer and then foiled in red - hard to capture in the main photo so I took another one to show it:

The frame was die cut with a Winnie and Walter die, the tree with a Clearly Besotted die, and the star with a MFT die. When I was mass producing, I taped them all together so I didn't have to line them up on each card. I backed the open space from the die cuts with Scor Tape and added some glitter. The SSS Fog card base was stamped tone on tone with an MFT background stamp.

The elements that I CASE-d are the colour scheme, the design, and the tone-on-tone background. I can't wait to see what elements you CASE into your design.

Thanks for stopping by!

TIME OUT #74 - Winter Theme

Happy New Year!

We have a great challenge to start the new year at TIME OUT - we are looking for Winter themed card - with an optional twist of using white-on-white.

Our very generous sponsor is Uniko Studios - they are offering a gift voucher to a random entry who creates a card with the optional twist.

We have a very talented guest designer with us this week too - Claire from Life on the Scrap Heap is joining us again to share some of amazing creativity! Her cards are just gorgeous so make sure you check them out.

Here is what I came up with for the challenge:

Since this is my first card of the new year, I thought that it was very fitting that it embraces one of my Crafty New Year's Resolutions - to finish all my unfinished cards! This card was started at some point in 2015 when I applied some texture paste through a TCW snowflake stencil onto the card base and covered the wet paste with some glitter (if you zoom in on the picture, you can see it a little bit). After that, it went into my pile of unfinished cards - I really can't remember what the original plan was,....  I pulled it out again over a year later and added the greeting from the Ton stamps on a piece of grey cardstock to the front to finish it off! Fastest card I have made in a while and adhering to my resolutions :)

I am looking forward to seeing all the Winter-y creations in the gallery - so please take some TIME OUT and join us!

Thanks for stopping by!
