My take on woodland animals today is a little bit different - I passed over my "cute" woodland animal stamp sets, and chose this elegant fox stamp that I picked up from Unity Stamps.
I stamped my foxy fox in Versafine Onyx ink and then I watercoloured her with Distress Inks and die cut her with a Spellbinders frame die.
The background was a ton of fun to create. I really wanted to do a striped foil background (I am loving that trend!) but I haven't bought the supplies yet so I did the next best thing - metallic leafing. I laid down some pieces of Be Creative tape (carefully measured). I peeled off the backing and used the adhesive to lay down the leafing. I used Indigo Blu Eton Mess leafing which is mostly silver but does contain a few copper and gold flakes - I thought that it would complement the fox well.
Looking forward to seeing everyone's take on our challenge - check it out here!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

That is one very foxy sultry looking image. Love your stripes and how the colours defintely do pick up on the fox.
ReplyDeleteFantastic image and water-colouring Jill and your foxy works brilliant with that fun BG.

That image is very very cool. I love the patter on its 'fur'. Your background with the gold leaf is very clever - and classy. Something i've always wanted to try. Tell me, how much did it go everywhere? :D
