'With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning'
This is the perfect quote as we are coming up to a new year and new beginnings...
Our wonderful Guest Designer this week is Marina from My Perfect Life so make you check out how she was inspired by these words...
We are very lucky to have Stamplorations sponsoring us for this challenge - they have generously agreed to give a gift voucher to the winner and to the honourable mentions!
Here is my card:
For my card, I decided to embrace one of my crafty New Year's resolutions (it seemed fitting for the quote!) which is to use my stash. The tree picture was a vellum journal card that I have had in my stash forever... I thought that it would look pretty with a sunrise behind it. I used some alcohol inks on glossy card stock to create the vibrant sunrise - and then layered the vellum on top.
How will you be inspired? Take some Time Out to join us....
Thanks for stopping by!

The alcoholink-sunrise is so beautiful! Great card Jill! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteI love how the vellum softens the colours - gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderfully bold sunrise, Jill ... the colours are fantastic ... and show off that fabulous tree brilliantly! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what comes out of your stash this year Jill! You know I am trying to do the same. This is absolutely gorgeous, and what a great idea to layer that vellum panel over your bright sunrise background. I love the way you framed the edge by making the sunrise larger than the vellum panel. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWonderful take on the challenge! We have the same New Year's resolution... I'm not allowed to buy anything new before April! :) The way you used vellum and glossy paper together is very inspired. Great card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous image - it can be peaceful or uplifting (or maybe creepy depending on what you do with it!) I love what you did - and yes your new year's resolution rings true with me, but I don't think i'm strong enough.... ! Happy New Year! Jenny x
