Our TIME OUT challenge this fortnight is my favourite type of challenge - photo inspiration :)
I used Stamplorations Blossom Sprays #2 as the focal point of my card; I stamped it in black and Copic coloured the flowers in red (inspired by the photo). I also wanted to mimic the pretty background wall so I used a Neat & Tangled cover plate die to create a tone on tone look. I added some ink blending and splatters to it to add some depth. The flowers and the Mama Elephant greeting were both mounted with foam tape - and a splattering of clear sequins to finish the design.
Our wonderful guest designer for this challenge is Greta from GG Creations - make sure you check out her creative designs!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

oh this captures the photo to perfection. What a great idea to use the cover plate for the textured wall and adding the spatters..an inspired idea! I adore the rich and deep colours of the flowers-the perfect match to the photo. Another inspiring and oh creative take on the challenge x
ReplyDeleteThose beautifully coloured blooms pop so wonderfully against that fabulous texture-y background, Jill ... what a brilliant take on the inspiration! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful card, Jill. I love that cover plate and the way you applied color to the card base and the cover. The floral design is gorgeous, and the colors and your coloring stands out in beautiful contrast. Love the way you did the sentiment as well.
ReplyDeleteLove the textured BG and the warm-sunny colours! Hugs, Gerrina
