Our sponsor for this challenge is one of my favourite stamp companies, Winnie & Walter - they are generously offering the winner of the challenge a $25
For my card, I decided to use one of my favourite Winnie & Walter dies, the Cover Model: Multifaceted Cutaway. I die cut a piece of Tim Holtz watercolour paper and then watercoloured the small sections in rainbow order before putting it back together as an inlaid die cut. I white heat embossed an older Whimsy Stamps umbrella onto some black cardstock and fussy cut it out; I attached it with foam tape to the inlaid background. I made a matching purple envelope and stamped some umbrella across the back; I outlined the umbrellas using a sparkly pen.
Our guest designer for this challenge is Arlene from Sundaystamper Papercrafts.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love the soft rainbowcolours! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card, Jill. Love how you used that same die as Anita, and your card is like a mirror image with the die, and totally unique with that wonderful umbrella.
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable. Wow to watercolour each section-you have so much patience-it must have taken hours to put this together but it was well worth it. And what a cool idea to keep the umbrella black with the fab sentiment. I so love those sparkly envelope-this is such a lovely touch-wonderful card Jill x
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your card under Anita's in the challenge post! Wonderful design and coloring. The little black umbrella with the perfect sentiment look fantastic on all that wonderful rainbow color. Love the envelope too!
ReplyDeleteI'm smiling, Jill ... hope you are too ... we could almost have shared our cards ... one negative space, one positive space! Great minds! The soft colouring on your rainbow is gorgeous ... and that brolly is such a fun touch! Hugs, Anita :)
