TIME OUT #171 - Inspired By Words

We have a great TIME OUT challenge for you this fortnight - we are asking you to create a project inspired by these words:

Our sponsor for this challenge is Stamplorations - they are generously offering the winner a $25 gift voucher to their store :)

I was inspired by the "champagne" part of the quote - and that means bubbles! I decided to create a "bubbly" embossed backgroung using the Stamplorations Dots All Over stencil. I added some MFT champagne glass die cuts (using vellum and glitter paper) as well as a stacked MFT Cheers sentiment. I added a white embossed Picket Fence sentiment and popped up the panel with foam tape.

We can't wait to see how you will be inspired by these words - so take some TIME OUT to join us!

Thanks sor stopping by!

TIME OUT #170 - Adventurous

This fortnight at TIME OUT, we are challenging you to be adventurous!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Funky Fossil Designs who are offering the winner a £15 gift voucher to their shop 😀

I was playing around with the Neat & Tangled Topography stamp set for my card. I stamped the map image onto some watercolour paper and then added some Tonic shimmer powders to get some different colours. I used a Winne & Walter alpha die to cut out the word adventure - stacked multiple times for dimension. The greetings are from the same Topography set, and the border stamp at the bottom is an aolder one from MFT.  The wood veneer airplane is from my stash.

Our guest designer for this challenge is the very talented Conil from WhichCraft - she is a regular TIME OUT player and we are thrilled to have her join us 😀

TIME OUT #169 - Season

We have another fun challenge this fortnight at TIME OUT - we are challenging you to create a project inspired by the theme of Season. with an optional twist of colouring.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Poppy Stamps - they are generously offering the winner of the random draw a $20 gift voucher :)

Proud to be sponsored by

For my project, I decided to use some products from our sponsor (or their sister companies) and create a winter season card. I love the look of white embossing paired with gold on kraft so that is what I went with. The large peace is from Birch Press Design - Simple Peace; each of the layers was cut from gold cardstock. I white embosed some Concord & 9th pine needles and gold embossed a small sub-sentiment onto the card panel. I also die cut a gold frame and inlaid it. The final step was cutting some poinsettias (Memory Box Circle Poinsettia Frame )from red and green card stock and layering them on top of the white embossed needles and the adhered gold PEACE die cut.

TIME OUT #168 - Photo Inspiration

Welcome to a wonderful TIME OUT photo challenge!

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is Uniko who are offering the winner an in-stock stamp set of their choice :)

Here is the card I created - I was inspired by the hibiscus and the tropical feel - all on a kraft card base like the sand in the picture. The die cuts are all from Concord & 9th and I watercoloured them all with shimmer paints - along with the background. The die cut greeting is also from Concord & 9th:

TIME OUT #167 - Inspired BY Words

At TIME OUT, we have some fabulous inspirattional words to get your crafting mojo going this fortnight :)

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is Top Flight Stamps - they are offering the winner a $25 gift voucher to their store!!!!

I decided make another slim line card for this challenge - I am really loving playing with this size. I decided to focus on the dance party portion of the words - and I thought thescute critters from Winnie & Walter (sadly, no longer available) would make a fun scene. I used an MFT die to create the "photo frames" and coloured the critters with COpics. I ink blended the card base to add a little more colour. Some foam tape for dimension, and some sequins for sparkle and I called it done :)

We are lucky to have the talented Ashwini from Experiments in Card Making joining us this week - her creations are always so lovely.

TIME OUT #166 - Peaceful

This fortnight at TIME OUT, we are challenging you to create a peaceful project - whatever that means to you.

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is Newton's Nook, who are generously offering the winner a $25 gift voucher :)

I find peace with hot yoga so I wanted to create a card using Stamplorations Frog Yoga. The problem I had was choosing which of the cute frogs to use on my card - so I decided to do a slimline design so that I could use three of them :) The design is very simple - I die cut three apertures in the card panel and brushed some Wild Honey Distress Ink behind the openings on the card base. The frogs were stamped and coloured using Copics and then fussy cut with a white border and adhered to the panel. I added the "namaste" sentiment from the set for a simple greeting and then used some foam tape to pop up the card panel on the base.

This stamp set has some fun greetings - so I decided to include one of them on the inside of my card - here it is:

TIME OUT #165 - Inspired By "Days Gone By"

For out TIME OUT challenge this fortnight, we are lookig for projects inspired by a "Days Gone By" theme. It woud be even better if the project you created included our optional twist of using embellishments.

Our sponsor for this challenge is CAS-ual Friday Stamps - they are generously offering the winner of the challenge a $25 gift voucher to their store :)

For my card, I was really inspired by the snarky sentiments in the CAS-ual Fridays stamp set Frankly'isms - there are so many that I liked and that worked with the theme but I finally decided on the one below. I paired it with a an image from MFT that I Copic coloured and fussy cut - and I embellished with some gold confetti.

In hindsight, the sentiment should have been higher up and embossed in gold instead of stamped in black - but I didn't have time to redo it....

Our guest designer for this challenge is one of very talented regular players, Claire from Life on the Scrap Heap. We are very lucky to have her joining us :)
