TIME OUT #56 - CASEing Kay Miller

We have another challenge at Time Out - and this week, we are CASE-ing this gorgeous card from Kay Miller. If you want to check out more of her creations, her website is here.

Instructions for Kay in her own words:

I started by stamping the dot background pattern in grey ink then adhered  the little stitched square frame with foam tape. I stamped, cut out, and layered all of the leaves and flowers with foam tape as well. The white swirl was die cut and tucked under the frame and flowers with a glue dot. I stamped the sentient with black ink onto a fishtail flag die cut, and adhered it with foam tape just under the edge of the frame. I added a  few clear PPP sequins to finish it up!

We also have a great Guest Designer this week - Marlena has some great card designs so please stop by her website here.

And here is my card:

There were so many great elements to CASE on Kay's card - I think I used most of them! I loved the colour scheme, the grey splatter and the overall layout. I splattered some watered down Warm Calico mist over the card panel which had been die cut. I then die cut the MFT flower from some pink card stock - I embellished the flower with some Spun Sugar Distress Ink and a light application of Stickles (for a touch of glitter!) before adhering it together - I also shaped the petals a little bit to create some dimension. The vellum leaves were also die cut with an MFT die, and the sentiment (from Altenew) was stamped in HA Wet Cement and popped up with some foam squares. The card front was mounted to a light grey card base. A splattering of sequins finished the card.

So now it's your turn - how will you CASE Kay's card? Whatever elements grab your eye - make sure you take some TIME OUT to join us!

Thanks for stopping by!
Jill
