We are continuing our Home Sweet Home photo inspiration
challenge at Time Out. How will this
photo inspire you?
Our
fabulous guest designer, Stephanie from My Ink Well is with us again this week
- so make sure you stop by her blog to check out her beautiful designs (she is
an expert with Brushos!).
Last week, my card was crisp and modern inspired by the
artwork - this week, I took my inspiration from the vintage lamps. The shapes
of the shades reminded me of flowers, and the way they were clustered made me
think of this poppy stamp from Hero Arts:
I coloured the stamped image with Copics - trying to use the
same colours as the photo. I added some Wink of Stella shimmer to the coloured
blooms and stamped the SSS greeting to overlap them slightly. I challenged
myself to use some coloured card stock for the mat and the card base (something
that I don't do too often), and mounted the panel in the top left corner to do
something different.
Thanks for stopping by!
Jill
I like how you took inspiration from the lamps and your colouring is superb. And you should you coloured card bases more often it worked well for you and especially your design.
