Our TIME OUT Challenge this week wants you to be inspired by these words:
“Love the trees until their leaves fall off, then encourage them to try again next year.”
Chad Sugg
And we are lucky enough to have a wonderful sponsor for this challenge: CAS-ual Fridays has very generously offered the challenge winner a $25 gift voucher!!!!
Rema from Paper Panache has joined us again as a Guest Designer so make sure you check out how she was inspired.
Here is my card:
I dug deep into my stash to find some fun supplies for this card - an old Tattered Angels super-sized stamp and matching mask. I laid the mask on a piece of white cardstock and sprayed some Copper Tattered Angels glimmer mist. Once it was dry, I stamped the matching stamp in the void with some SSS Slate ink. I trimmed the panel with an MFT die and matted it with some SSS Slate cardstock before adding it to the card front. The greeting is from Simon Says and was white embossed on Slate cardstock as well. This is one of those cards that looks so much better in real life with the shimmer of the spray showing through. I love the effect so much that I kept playing and created this card:
I also die cut some tags from similar panels that I made that will find homes on cards at some point :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Jill
Wow! The detail on the stamp and mask are amazing Jill!
ReplyDeleteWow this stamp is so super (have to dig my Tattered Angelstamps up).
ReplyDeleteLove how you used the colour in the background to ket it stand out! Hope you have a sunny and good week!
This is stunning. I love the detail on that tree.
ReplyDeleteAmazing Jill, I really love the simple strip of card stock on the right, it works in both black and glitter. Your skill is so amazing, I get lost at how you create the designs....behind my technical knowledge vut no matter, I adore to see the finished product. Plus I admire how stretch your design and play around to make more x
ReplyDeleteLove this Jill! That tree is super awesome.
ReplyDeleteThese are both so lovely, Jill ... I too smiled at us both using the same SSS sentiment ... yours looks gorgeous against that wintery tree! Love the sparkly wishes on the second one ... it's so magical! Hugs, Anita :)
