Our challenge this week at TIME OUT is to get warm - definitely seasonally appropriate as we are starting to enjoy the summer heat :)
There are a lot of different ways you can interpret being warm - here is my take on it:
I made this card for my brother - his 40th birthday is coming up and I thought he might appreciate a funny card. I actually made the panel quite a while ago (years!) - I used yellow, orange, and red alcohol inks on a panel of glossy card stock and then added some additional alcohol ink to the panel through a TCW flame stencil. I loved the effect it created but couldn't figure out how to use it on a card until I saw the Shenanigans stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays and thought it would be fun to combine the greetings with the panel.
If you like the sentiments, that stamp set could be yours since our sponsor for this challenge is CAS-ual Fridays, and they are offering a $25 gift voucher to the winner :)
Our talented guest designer this week is Marieke .- her cards are gorgeous beyond words so make sure you check them out!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Gosh I missed this stamp set what a fun sentiment and at my age so appropriate for my friends! Must invest! And what the perfect background for this. It is stunning and so warm in colour too. I bet IRL it looks amazing with the gloss x
ReplyDeleteCertainly a warm card! Great background for the text! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteGreat use of that background, Jill ... that bonfire really does look flaming and there's so much depth to it ... perfect with that fun sentiment! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteWow Jill, that panel is HOT! I just love it. ANd I always love it when you put something that you have created aside and find a perfect match for it later! Fantastic take on the challenge! xx
ReplyDeleteWow I love the look of fire you achieved on your bg panel! Very cool (or should I say hot) card! 😉
