TIME OUT#80 - Inspired By Words

We have some great inspirational words this fortnight for the TIME OUT challenge:

'When it rains look for rainbows, when it's dark look for stars'

We have a great sponsor for this challenge - Uniko Studio is offering a £15 gift voucher to the winner.

Marilyn from Marilyn's Card Spot is our wonderful guest designer this week - make sure you stop by her blog to check how she is inspiring us.

Here is my take on the words:

This card came about as a  result of me playing around with my new Distress Oxide Inks- I was playing around with smooshing and layering contrasting colours (hence the orange and blue). When I was done, I had a bunch of panels so I used some MFT star dies to cut them out to make them into cards. On this one, I stamped a Simon Says birthday greeting in the middle and adhered the stars around it. I am really happy with how it came together - it makes a good masculine Birthday card - something that I always seem to be in need of....

I was inspired by the "stars" in the quote but I can wait to see how you are inspired when you take some TIME OUT to play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by!
Jill

  1. I do the same with brushos and isn't it great then that you have lots of card to make super die cuts from. I really like how you have arranged them around the sentiment x
