TIME OUT #134 - Playful

We have a really fun challenge for you this week at TIME OUT - we want you to be playful!

Our sponsor for this challenge is one of my favourite companies, Winnie & Walter; they are offering the winner a $25 gift voucher :)

For my playful card, I used one of my favourite Winnie & Walter sets: Winter Wishes. I stamped an Copic coloured the two puffins before adding the panel behind a shaker window using Stampendous shaved ice (love that stuff!). I silver embossed the greeting on the light grey card front; the greeting is also from Winnie & Walter - this time the Sentimental: Winter set. I curved the stamp to run along the shaker window.

We are very lucky to have the very talented Nancy (Made by Nananas) with us as a Guest Designer this week - so make sure to check out her playful creation :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Twofer Challenge - Zoo Animals

I made a couple of cards on the weekend for the Twofer challenge of zoo animals - and am just getting them posted before the challenge closes. For both cards, I used an older My Monthly Hero kit:

The first card was created by ink blending a sunset across a section of the card panel. I used the die from the kit to create a mask for the setting sun. Once the strip was ink blended, I stamped the silhouette animals in black to create a scene – separating the lion from the herbivores, of course! After it was stamped, I did spritz the scene with some shimmer spray (which doesn’t show in the picture) and added the greeting from the set just above the scene. Hakuna Matata means “no worries” in Swahili 😊 I added the card panel to an orange card base – I saw someone do this on Instagram and I loved how it looked.

For my second card, I started by stamping the same animals from the first cards randomly in some light ink colours to cover the entire panel. I then die cut a heart from the panel and the baby blue card base to create a peak through card with some blue vellum BUT as I was making it, I decided it might look fun as a shaker so I added some foam and some sequins as well.

Here is a look at the shaker from the inside:

I added the silver glitter stacked die cut baby (from Studio Calico) to the front of the card to finish it off.

I will enter these cards into:

TIME OUT #133

A quick post today for the latest TIME OUT challenge - we are challenging you to use at least two embellishments on your project:

There is also an optional twist for this challenge - to create a one layer card - a one layer card with two embellishments will definitely take some creativity :) Our sponsor for this challenge is Birch Press Design - they are offering a random entry who does the one-layer twist a $20 gift voucher!!!

Here is my card (definitely NOT one layer!):

I created a wreath using this die from our sponsor. I did cut apart the individual leaves and mist them with a few colours of spray. I actually added three embellishments: twine, gold sequins, and small blue pearls.

Our guest designer for this challenge is Andrea from KandA Creative Moments - she is a regular TIME OUT player who has guest designed with us in the past, and we are thrilled to have her join us again.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
