TIME OUT #128 - Photo Inspiration

This fortnight at TIME OUT, we have a really fun photo inspiration challenge (my favourite type of challenge!). Check out this pretty pictures :

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is Stamplorations - they are generously offering the challenge winner a great prize

Here is how I was inspired:

Believe it or not, this is actually a one layer card. I was inspired by the all the envelopes in the background of the inspiration photo and decided to create an envelope background as well using the Simon Says Sending Happy Thougts stamp set.

I started out by masking the Altenew Halftone Hello using a piece of masking paper die cut with the accompanying die. I then stamped and masked, and stamped some more envelopes all over the background. I removed all the envelope masks but left the hello mask in place before Coptic colouring everything ( I wanted to keep the white halo around the hello). I stamped the little hearts on the envelopes (also inspired by the picture) in the same red ink as the hello. Finally, I stamped the black banner in Versafine (it’s a pigment ink so it sits on top of all the stamping and colouring), and once the ink was dry, I white heat embossed the greeting on top.

Our wonderful guest designer for this challenge is Conil from WhichCraft - she is a regular player at Time Out - I always love to see her work and am thrilled to have her join as GD this week :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

TIME OUT #127 - Inspired By Words

At TIME OUT this week, we are asking you to create a project inspired by these fabulous words:

So many ways to be inspired by these words - make sure to check out how the rest of the DT were inspired - some of them used products from our wonderful and generous sponsor, CAS-ual Friday Stamps who are offering the winner of the challenge a gift voucher.

My card wasn't inspired by any one of the words but by the meaning of the words - it made me think immediately of this new to me W Plus 9 sentiment stamp. I stamped a woodgrain pattern tone-on-tone on a piece of grey card stock before white heat embossing the sentiment.  I used some Technique Tuesday stamps to create the lemon background on the card base before popping up the sentiment panel with some fun foam. I spent quite some time playing around with sequins and other gems before eventually deciding to leave it as is.

Our guest designer this week is Claire from String Bows - check out her wonderful designs here.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

TIME OUT #126 - Loving

We are starting 2019 with a fun challenge at TIME OUT - we are challenging you to share some love in your project:

A perfect challenge to start creating some Valentine's Day projects :) And we have a great prize for the winner - a $20 gift voucher from our wonderful and generous sponsor, Birch Press Design.

Here is my card for the challenge:

This card is actually a CASE of one of my favourite cards from 2018 - you can find the blog post here:

I used the birds and sentiment from the Winnie & Walter So Tweet stamp set and created the inlaid ombre glitter die cut using the Winnie & Walter Love cutaway. The colours are not my usual choice but I was inspired to try the Winnie & Walter December Color Combo Challenge using this palette:

We can't wait to see your love filled projects - so take some TIME OUT to play along with us - but before you do, make sure to check out the inspiration from the rest of the DT and our talented Guest Designer, Jane from Purplejet Loves Crafts.

I will be linking to the following challenges:
