TIME OUT #121 - Inspired By Words

Our 121st TIME OUT challenge is all about these words:

Gratitude and happiness are great card making themes so I think this challenge will be a popular one :)

We are very grateful that we have a wonderful sponsor for this challenge - Stamplorations - who are offering a $15 gift voucher for the winner and a bag of goodies for a random winner :)

For my card, I used Stamplorations Trendy Leaves - this is no longer available but Trendy Leaves 2 is very similar.

My card this week is fairly simple - I wanted the focus to be on the sentiment (gratitude!). I stamped the one leaf repeatedly in some non-Autumn colours (I love Autumn - I just wanted a change!) and then fussy cut them out. I added them around a die cut circle on a dark grey card panel and popped the whole panel onto a light grey card base stamped with a greeting from Stamplorations For The Birds. I added a few sparkling gems to finish it off.

We can't wait to see your project inspired by our words - so take some TIME OUT and play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by!

Winnie & Walter WCMD 2018 Challenge

I  have a few cards to share that I made for Winnie & Walter`s World Card Making Day Challenges. Here are the three cards that I made (apologies for the photos - lighting issues :( ):

First up is this one:

To create the card panel I spread some black Viva Decor modelling paste through the Into the Woods Creative Screenings onto a white panel. Once it was dry, I trimmed it down and die cut the bottom with the Hello die. I added the panel to a black card base - I then added the two birds die cuts and the hello die cut - all cut from magenta cardstock and sponged with some Picked Raspberry. The die cuts were also coated with some shimmer. The rest of the greeting was heat embossed in white - it is from the Sending You stamp set.

I took an extra picture of the die cuts because it is hard to see the shading and shine in the photo:

Next card is this one:

I die cut the heart shape into some acetate and then sponged the hearts using 4 different shades of Altenew pink ink. I white heat embossed some words from the Sending You stamp set into each of the hearts, and added a gold foil Hugs die cut. I embellished with a strip of gold foiled patterned paper and a few gold hearts - cut using the Audrey cutaways.

This card is being entered into the following challenges:

I clear heat embossed the Technique Tuesday Number Game onto some Tim Holtz water colour paper before adding some colour using shimmer water colours. I then removed the embossing using the iron of technique. I added the frame with some foam tape before also popping up the Copic coloured Happy Dance elephant and the Sentimental Birthday white embossed greeting. I also added some tiny sparkly stars.

This card is being entered into the following challenges:

TIME OUT #120 - Colourful

We have a really fun challenge for you this fortnight at TIME OUT - we are challenging you to be colourful:

Our incredible sponsor for this challenge is Winnie & Walter - they are offering the winner a $25 gift voucher :) . Winnie & Walter also have a great WCD Challenge on at the moment so make sure to check that out as well.

To say that I love W&W dies would be a massive understatement - I pulled out two of my favourites for this card: Leaf Effect Cutaway and Thanks Cutaway.

I went with both colour and sparkle for this card :) I used seven different colours of glitter in the leaf cutouts to create a rainbow. I kept the greeting simple with a stacked die cut sentiment.

We can't wait to see your colourful cards - so make sure you take the TIME OUT to join our challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!
