TIME OUT #97 - Inspired By Words

The challenge this fortnight at TIME OUT is to create a project inspired by these words:

We have a wonderful guest designer with us this week too - Izzy from Izzyscrap has a wonderful CAS style always brings gorgeous inspiration.

I was inspired by the "celebrate all that is good today and everyday", and created a New Year's card:

I love this card in real life but it was really hard to capture in the photo.

To make it, I started by applying Deco Foil transfer gel through the Tim Holtz stencil. I let it dry and then ran it through my Minc to apply the pink to yellow foil. I also foiled a piece of toner coated card stock with the same foil, and then die cut the WPlus9 "happy" from it. I white heat embossed 2018 on a smaller piece of the foiled card stock. The die cut, 2018, and the Taylored Expressions frame were all popped up with foam tape for dimension.

So now it's your turn to play along with our inspired by words challenge - with a chance to win a $10 gift voucher from Stamplorations!

Thanks for stopping by!
Jill

  1. I really love that background and does look fab in the photo and I bet IRL the foil touch makes it even better. I have no idea about the foiling technique but you work wonders with it. I like how you used the white embossing here, lovely touch x

  2. WOW ! This is gorgeous Jill ! Love all that splatters of foil paper ! They make me think of Champagne bubbles that go back to the surface ! What a beautiful way to celebrate the New Year ! I've just done a card with mirror paper and I know how difficult it is to capture what it really looks like IRL ! So I imagine how beautiful it is with all these shiny different tones ! I'm very happy to share this challenge with you all and thanks for your kind words ! Hugs xx

  5. Love all the shiny foil; think this one looks so much better IRL!
The foil sounds like a real fun material to work with!
    Great card again Jill!
Oh and the stampset I used for my card is a wood set from Inkadinkado. Think it is a very old one; bought it on a book and hobby event for 5 euro or so...
