TIME OUT #107 - Spring

We have another challenge for you at TIME OUT - we are looking for Spring themed cards with an optional twist of doing a one-layer card.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Uniko Stamps - they are offering an in-stock stamp set to a random entry that does the one-layer twist. They have so many great stamp sets - like the one I used for my card: English Country Garden Butterflies.

I stamped the large butterfly from the set repeatedly across the water colour paper in Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed them with a clear powder. I then loosely watercoloured the butterflies using Brushos - I ended up going in rainbow order but that wasn't really planned - it just happened that way. I wanted a very simple greeting so I found this old Studio Calico one in my stash that seemed to work.

Our guest designer this week is Kimberly from Wienerhoneymooners so stop by her blog and check out her wonderful cards.

Thanks for stopping by!
Jill

  6. This is maybe one of my favorite butterfly stamps. The size is great isn't it: It's large but not huge! Love your loose water coloring and the rainbow order of colors is very pleasing for the eye.
