TIME OUT #141 - Relaxation

Our challenge this fortnight at TIME OUT is perfect for those lazy summer days - we are looking for your relaxation themed projects.

We are very lucky to have Newton's Nook as our sponsor for this challenge - they are offering a $25 store credit to a randomly chosen entry that opts to make a one layer project :)

I decided to make a one layer card using Newton's Naptime for my project this week - how adorable is this image?! I Copic coloured the image and them masked it before adding a sponged and stenciled background. The sentiment is from a Technique Tuesday set - I though it worked brilliantly with both the image and the challenge theme :) I did add a slim strip of silver glitter washi tape to the card - (I think it is still one layer?) - to finish it off and add a little sparkle.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Marieke whose wonderful designs are so often in our gallery inspiring us - so make sure you check out her work.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Fabulous colouring, Jill ... that stack of rugs looks so cosy and comfy for Newton to snooze upon ... and what a fun, perfect sentiment! Hugs, Anita :)

  2. Beautiful how the cat and cushins pop so softly with this background! A stunning combination! Hugs, Gerrina

  3. This is so adorable! I really love how the rainbow colors pop off the gray background! Thanks for featuring our images on the Time Out Challenge!

  4. Jill, oh queen of masking, this is great! I love that you used gray/black on your background. The cat on pillows image stands out so beautifully, and your coloring is amazing as always. Love that strip of glitter - you are also the glitter queen of the universe. I love your royal creation! Hope all is good with you.

  5. I love the pop of color on the main image against the gray background. Very cool card!

  6. Your Copic coloring looks amazing -I'd love to know what markers you used for the dark purple, it looks amazing! Very fun sentiment and your stenciling looks fab as well. I hope all is going well with the doggies! xxx
