TIME OUT #182 - 7th Birthday Celebration

It's our TIME OUT Birthday and we have a challenge to celebrate it!

Our sponsor for this challenge has been with us since the beginning so we are thrilled that they are sponsoring this challenge - Stamplorations is offering the winner a $40 gift voucher to their shop!!!!! SO generous!

I kept my card sweet and simple - I used a combination of two stamp sets for the images and sentiment - WPlus9 And Many More and Ellen Hutson/Conconrd & 9th Sweet Sprinkles. The die cut frame is from Avery Elle. I did add some detail to the frosting using a coloured pencil as well as a few hearts die cut from glitter paper.

Our guest designer for this challenge is Karen from Random Reflections - her designs are so inspiring so make sur you stop by her blog to check them out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

TIME OUT #181 - Photo Inspiration

This fortnight, we have a TIME OUT photo inspiration perfect for Valentine's Day - filled with hearts, sweets, and flowers :)

Our sponsor for this challenge is CAS-ual Friday Stamps - they are offering the winner a $25 gift voucher :)

My card is a fairly litteral take on the inspiration photo - the die cut flowers are from our sponsor CAS-ual Friday Stampss - a set called Peaceful Garden that has unfortunately been retired. The large sentiment is from Concord & 9th and the small sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Nancy from My Creative Mess - we are thrilled to have her join us :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Inspired By & Inkspirational Hearts

A really quick share today - a card that I made for the Inspired By Challenge:

I took my inspiration from a few different elements in the photo:

  • The background - I used a Taylored Expressions embossing folder to mimic the stripes
  • The colour scheme - the small floral and kraft colours
  • Hearts
  • The lace - I added some gold stitching across the hearts insted of lace
I added a gold embossed sentiment from Neat & Tangled to complete the design.

I am also linking up to the current Inkspirational cahllenge of "Hearts"

Thanks for stopping by!
