TIME OUT #55 - Celebration

We have a new challenge for you at TIME OUT - this week it is a theme challenge and it is all about Celebrations! We are also challenging you to incorporate either die cutting or fussy cutting into your design. If you do, your card will be entered into a random drawing for a $25 gift voucher from CASual Fridays!!!!

We also have a great guest designer with us this week - we are very lucky to have Elizabeth from Paper Sweetness join us!

Here is what I came up with to celebrate:

I used my Crazy Birds and Crazy Things stamps and my Copics to create the bird and balloons - which I die cut (bird) and fussy cut (hat and balloons). I used some embossing paste and a brick stencil to create the background - then I stamped the Your Next Stamp greeting across the bottom. The bird and balloons are popped up with foam squares.

I made a second card using some brighter colours - and I tinted my embossing paste to match the Simon Says Fog card base. I think these colours are a little bit more masculine for a guy-card!

So take some TIME OUT and join our celebration challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Jill

  3. love that EP background, gives great texture to the base and those birds are adorable and coloured to perfection. Great to see how different they can look with a slightly different colour. I think both cards would be good for guys or gals-anyone getting these would be delighted!

  4. Two great cards! Love that you coloured the paste! And think the same; the 2nd is more masculine... Enjoy the weekend!

  5. Love both of these. Your coloring is phenomenal. I have those birds and am too intimidated to use them. I wish I had your coloring skills.
