TIME OUT #106 - Photo Inspiration

We have another great challenge at TIME OUT - a Home Sweet Home photo challenge that has me thinking of Spring:

Lots of elements to be inspired by in this photo - those gorgeous yellow blooms, the fresh lemons, the pattern on the vase, and so much more.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Altenew - they are generously giving a $20 gift voucher to the challenge winner - and this photo made me think of one of my Altenew stamp sets, Extra Special. Here is what I came up with:

I stamped the Extra Special bloom in layers of yellow and green Altenew inks, and then fussy cut it. I added some texture paste to the card base through a Tim Holtz stencil and I created a hexagon frame using some Spellbinders nesting dies. The greeting is from the Altenew Birthday Builder stamp set.

Our Guest Designer this week is the incredible Sarah from Funky Fossil - not only is she an amazing card designer (and former TO DT) but she has also designed the most amazing stencils. You really need to check out her designs.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. This is one stunning card. I adore that textured background. I always love it when you add these to your cards and even the frame has a gorgeous texture to it. And then the stunning flowers wrapped around the frame and that is some good fussy cutting-super card Jill x

  5. This is absolutely gorgeous, Jill. I love that texture in the background and the addition of those little yellow sequins or maybe Nuvo drops. Regardless, they look great along with the texture paste. The flower bunch is beautifully inked, and looks so great the way it is placed on the hexagonal frame. Just a beautiful composition and it is so hopeful. It is snowing here today - I am anxiously awaiting for spring to arrive. xx
