AAA Cards - Paste and Stencil

The challenge at AAA Cards this week is all about your your paste and stencil... or just your paste... or just your stencils. You should stop by and check out what the rest of the design team came up with (some fabulous cards!) and also our Guest Designer this week is Shona Chambers from Twine Around whose cards are always inspirational. I also really like the inspiration photo that Victoria came up with for the challenge (looks like such a cool technique):

I absolutely love stencils so for me, the hardest part of this challenge was determining which stencil to use (I have more than a few!). Eventually, I settled on a stencil from Stencil Girl called Cornish Petals - and some inspiration from the blooming pink peonies in my backyard to come up with this card:

I decided that I wanted to create an ombre embossing paste so I started out with a geneous amount of embossing paste on my craft mat and added a little bit of Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and applied the outer most paste, I then added a little bit more ink, and applied the middle section, and repeated the process fro the middle. I finished off the card with a die cut circle, a Studio Calico (twice embossed with gold powder) and some gold thread for a pretty simple card.

I will link up to the following challenges:

So now it's your turn - so grab your stencils and paste and have fun!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Jill
