Copic Colouring on Sunday

I decided to spend a little bit of time today with some Unity Stamps and my Copics. I started with this card - my very first Christmas card of the year! I was inspired by the Merry Monday Challenge to incorporate some funky stamps - and this cute little stamp called "Birdies, Hugs & Mistletoe" seemed to fit the bill:

After I coloured the image, I thought that it would work well as a shaker card that is what I did but instead of using sequins for the filler, I used some Stampendous Shaved Ice to make it seem like a snowy scene. Here is a close up - so sparkly:

I used a Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder for the card front and the greeting is from Clearly Besotted. I will link this card up to:

My second card of the day uses stamps from 2 different Unity Stamp sets -the February 2015 Kit of the Month and "Original You". I stamped the elephant and the flowers in Momento black ink and cloured them with Copics. I then masked them and applied some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink along the one side of the card. Finishing touches were the greeting and a generous coating of clear Wink of Stella on the flowers. I am so happy with the final card - I don't usually repeat cards but I think that I may make an exception for this one....

I will link this card up to a few places:
  • CAS on Sunday where we are being challenged with one-layer cards

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Brilliant cards Jill but I particularly love the Christmas one - those birdies are simply too cute and love how you've created them in a shaker window. Simply fabulous. Sarah x
